Hi everyone! That was the end-month and it's time to sum up the work you have done! and worked very well - I was very difficult to pick a winner! I had to think about it! So, here are the results...

On The Tonle Sap by Jim-w - good light! and the object choose a good .. but for my taste, you wasted put it in the middle. and very sorry that is not captured in the frame reflection.

Lookupinatree by Darlene - here is also an interesting the object! but the light is not very good. I think you should go back to the tree in the evening or in the morning .. .. or night! or try to photograph it a day, but it is backlit.

Victim of Winter by Noelcmn - here, in contrast to the first photo, the subject is too small. In addition the object too pressed to the right end frame. and I would not have a horizon line in the middle of the frame. Could cut off the top part of the sky

Beech trees in low Winter sun by GaryJohn - just a super shot! obvious contender for first place.

Gerroffa moi nuts!! By Drofmit - not a very good subject. The tree inexpressive itself. Moreover, it merged with the neighboring. Signboard almost unreadable.

A Tree among friends by Daniel H - I can say almost all the same, what I said about the previous shot. The only thing - here is better processing of frame.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness...by Simonarron – excellent shot! I want to be a bit of the panoramic ..

The 'Character Tree' with llamas by eoinandpaula - very good shot! great use of the backlight. also successfully applied vignetting. The only thing - I think also should go from the central composition ..

Dawn Silhouette by davidtrout - also very good work! Like black - white design. The only thing - much closely. especially in the upper left corner.

Looking Up by Paulb531 - Another black and white picture. In general, good. But still worth a try with the processing options. as such in the image merges all

autumn colour by gabby - picture, just like I have in the homeland! Caucasian autumn looks the same. picture lacks a bit of clarity. and the front had either completely remove, or make it bigger.

Sunlit ponies by a tree in New Forest by Stridey - next great shot! everything is just amazing - light, composition, tree, horse .. also obvious contender for the win.

Autumn Gold by JAK - and another great job. despite the fact that I am not a fan of such a post-processing here, it looks reasonable. But - the hero of this picture man ..

The long and the short of it...by DuncanM -good object, but again is too closely in the frame.

The Tree by bettyswolloks - the same as talking about a few other photos - is too closely and the tree in the middle.

Lakeside by bezbur - not very expressive subject. then drew more attention to the lake and the bridge on the shore, than trees.

500 Years by johnriley - very interesting object! interfere in the frame pieces cut trees on the edges.

TREEBENDUS by mowser - very expressive trees! bit unfortunate shooting. and spoil the frame chromatic aberration.

Yong Tree- Elizabeth II Park by tyronet2000 - good picture! I would try to stay at a lower point. to the opposite shore line dropped below.

Tree on the moor by AndrewA – good BW picture ! but stripe in the upper left corner (the trace of the plane?), I would have removed.

One or Two by bforbes – Wow! Classical landscape! everything right - and nothing else!

Autumn contrasts by caj26 - and another picture - Central composition and closely.

Tree Light by blakeyguin - and again in the middle, and again closely. besides, in my opinion, the lights of tree in this case can be proved to be unnecessary. Black silhouette would look spectacular.

The wood from the trees by perspicador - unexpected! and it is also good!

Standing apart by CMW - very good! great color, beautiful tree. Vignetting like. But again I want to say - closely.

Highlands by kemopop1 - very beautiful and dramatic picture! but the trees are likely to frame a view of the mountains ..
So - podium looks as follows:
1. Bforbes
2. Stridey
3. GaryJohn

HC’s – Simonarron , JAK, kemopop and CMW

Thank you all for participating! Good luck and good shots!

Thanks for the kind words, Arsen, and compliments to Barrie et al. I think we should also recognise the effort you put in to stitch together cohesive comments in a language other than your own.

Stunning image, worth a few look-again kinda shot. Worthy winner and B/W works so very well. Congratulations Bforbes, and Sridey and GaryJohn and HC's. A lovely comp this one, and particularly so as I love trees, and this has been a veritable feast for the eyes and the wonderful diverse interpretations has been so good to see. So thanks to ArsenAl for a great comp, judging and comments. Appreciated!
