I am looking for a shot that says it's the start of a new day. Traditional or abstract, simple, clean composition. Usual basic rules apply. Pentax cameras only, plus usual concessions, and the image must be shot in April 2017. Any out of time entries will be deleted. Good luck ! Paul |

Oops, that is a bit of s surprise, for a shot that was almost casual as I prepared for the service last week Sunday. Thank you Paul, and look forward to your comments. Congrats to my fellow podium placed bps and Andymat. Not a lot of entries for this one, mmmm, clearly some are allergic to early morning yes . I'll have something up later this evening, as I am preparing to spend the day at Rietvlei Nature Reserve, as it is a public holiday here in SA. That'll give me some time to think of a challenge.

Have I missed laupd's further comments, or is he still away?

We are away at the moment, so I will add comments later, but to put you out of your misery...
1st Noelcmn with New Day
2nd bps with Emering Morning
3rd andymat with Wye Dawn
Noelcmn hit the spot for me because it really does capture a typical, no nonsense morning unfolding. The taxi lights on and the sky colours screamed 'morning'. Often early shots can look like sunset shots, the subtle colour difference in the sky being a key give away.
Thanks,
Paul
