Well here goes, folks!
Please remember, these are only my opinions.

Cacti Nopalxochia 'Jennifer Ann' by johnwnjr.
A record shot of this cactus flower, but not a particularly geometric one, I’m afraid….
Contrast could do with a bit of a boost & composition would be better with the flower more central, I think.

Dream and not make dream your master by Tgalea
A well-exposed night shot with some clear geometrical forms within.
Triangle, sphere & lines in a balanced arrangement. However, they all seem a little disconnected, somehow, individual items on their own

Complex Geometry by GlynM.
Immediate impact from this geometry-full shot.
An original take on the theme, well exposed, sharp & with lovely colours.
Very nice image.

Natural Geometry by Jak.
An interesting viewpoint of this beech scene.
The composition is very good with subtle colours.
Good geometric curve, like a graph on its side with the line of groins as its base.
Wonder what he’s thinking…

The Curvature of Space by johnriley.
Good fisheye shot in difficult but well-handled lighting.
The snooker table representative of the huge, curved geometry of Time/Space.
Like the red ball against the green baize, 3D, floating in space.
Successful image.

Circle of life by Nabila.
Good mono image of their tough life.
Like to see it cropped tighter, though. Just to the left of the metal triangle & to the right of the dark line on the woven wall.
The triangle, the wheel, the lines &, particularly, the triangular composition itself of the group are fine geometrical shapes.

Its all about truss by David Hamilton.
Certainly plenty of geometrical shapes here! Triangles ‘r’Us!
But I think the geometry has taken the picture over somewhat, leaving a record shot of a building site. One to show the building inspector later, perhaps….
Sorry!

Allhallows Beach by Mag07.
An inclined plane here. Perhaps more physics than geometry but certainly a pretty good triangle!
Those whose bete noir is a sloping horizon should have looked away earlier….
Perhaps the shot could do with a focal point?

Perspective bygwb67
Immediate impact here!
The colours are superb, the compo. Simple but strikingly effective.
And look at the curves on that!
Ellipses on the colour junctions & a pair of parabolas(?) down the sides!
Smart shot!

Hexagonal Stones by nmag.
Geology made for a geometry comp!!!
Here’s a shot of that geometry. But.
A little more oomph in the colours & contrast, perhaps a different viewpoint,
& a focal point would have been nice.

The Cheesegrater by Paulb531.
A mass of solids geometry, in mono, crisp, sharp with interesting, diminishing perspective.
A modern, wall-worthy image.

Inside a façade by conexus.
A good idea to shoot something different, from an interesting viewpoint.
I’m afraid it doesn’t work for me in the context of this comp., however.
If less is more, the more we have here really is too muchIt’s difficult to see the image for the mass of geometry!

Natural heptagon by Perspicador.
A nice picture of a flower.
It has seven petals.(Are you sure…?)
Sorry, not really geometrical enough.

Curved Space by davidwozhere.
Superb!
Glorious colours, fantastic sweeping curves on curves on curves.
Love it!
(I’d have loved it even more if the blue curve on the left had left the image exactly in the corner of the frame. Nit-pick over, sorry!)
Did I mention I quite like this?

Only dirty shoes please by ken2390.
Excellent observation to notice this underfoot.
And lovely geometry in the detail, too. Each pair of wave-forms contained in a rectangular box. Sharp with good, earthy, underfoot sort of colours
Thanks for noticing for us!

Round the island yacht race by Wendy.
Curved triangles on a beautiful blue sea with crisp whites, all in a very nice composition.
Don’t let mag07 see that badly sloping horizon!
Good shot.

Stairs to the sky by danylaos.
Great colours
Great observation.
Great wave patterns.
Great, strong horizontal lines forming a reducing, GEOMETRICAL progression.
And fascinating, broken fine black lines throughout.
This image isn’t half good!

There you go!
Modern image of older buildings illustrating strong geometrical patterns.
Told you it could be done!
And very well done it is here! Mediterranean colours, I suspect, with white buildings equals a great combination & you’ve combined them well for the theme here.

Soft circles after Dali by drofmit.
Not a foodie, I’m afraid!
But I do appreciate an imaginative picture.
One of which this is!
It’s a bit surreal really…
Tell Mr. Dali his cooking’s coming along nicely.
Your photography, here, is pretty good too.
Not as overtly geometric as some but certainly tastier!

Towels & balconies by Mudge.
Nicely geometric, in an M C Escher sort of way.
Best of this image is a), the monotone balconies, with their shaded ceilings in the same hue; &, b),the inspired colours & positioning of the towels.
You want focal points, we have focal points!!!

Tower by Irek.
You’ve found a building that is diametrically (geometry, get it?!)
opposite to the Baroque!
And you’ve captured a fine mono of it as well.
Sharp, good tonal range, nice sky, bent walls…..?
Strong submission.

A geometry-filled image which, to my eye, is just a bit too full for comfort.
I think a more selective approach to one of the (many) details would have been more effective, with more impact.

Many apologies for the delayed reviews & my thanks to all who entered,.
I appreciate the effort represented in these images & hope none of you is in any way upset at my musings, which is simply all they are>

The Winer is Danylaos

Second goes to Davidwozhere.

Geometry - duh!
Well it certainly wasn't like that, was it? What a marvellous collection of different ideas we have been given here. My own favourite is the balconies - but then, I also like Escher.
Thank you for the placing and well done danylaos and Glyn.

Great competition, smashing winner...
I wonder how many people just hurry under that and miss it totally!
There is a similar idea at Tours Station.... but not as effective [and it needs a clean!]
Another great set of images to draw inspiration from...
and thanks, Roger, for....
A SET OF COMMENTS!!
Comments that are pertinent to the subject set, too.

Well done to the winners and thanks for the comments (hurrah.) Just a quick aside, after all the fuss about images not being taken in the current month, I note that one was taken in April but was allowed to remain for judging. This is a little inconsistent.
