A big thanks to everyone who entered, it was a challenge even to get outdoors this month of March 2024, at least where I live, so well done to all for their efforts.

Two Seasons by Viking55803,
I will comment even though it was not taken in March as it is both a subtle photograph, combing freeze and thaw along with light and shade composed in an eye leading meandering brook stream. It is a pity it doesnít qualify as I really like the photography you have achieved here.

Jonquils by Francisbd

Daffodils, how poor indeed we would be without them, the real first glimpse of spring that makes us smile and a few fresh plucked for a vase , invites that light inside. Wonderful

Getting itís March Ing orders by MOHL

Itís for there own good with spring nearly here, after putting up with them all winter.
The coolness in the March light and natures harsh response , learns the young to fend for themselves . A frantic unforgiving photograph but reality none the less.

Blossom-blossoming everywhere by Davidwozhere

A swirlish bokeh from an older lens, makes them blossoms blush bright, like a dear old friend.
I saw your other blossoms one in the gallery and thatís a cracker. Nice one all the same.

Pond life by Nigelk

Awake, shake dreams of winter from your head, my Kermit one
Choose the day . The days divinity. First thing you see.
Excellent capture and love the reflections framing and overall nature of it .

The March winds doth blow by Yorkie

Them skirts canít keep them knickerbockers from exposing themselves 😀
I love the the way this dances , itís wonderfully caught with the March light keeping the yellows from blowing but thatís probably down to youíre experience . Lovely job

Spring hatchlings by jRutle

Measured thinking ahead, when itís a lot easier said than done.
Like the geometric framing that tells the story
A rich continuous harvest ensured
Love the clear cool light and freshness

Mad March Hares by Sueriley

Another crystal light March exposure, them hares have being tearing around ,like Saturday night fever and are still at it.

Summer to Autumn by Noelcmn

A contrast to all entries so far, in this March comp, as it is from the Southern Hemisphere. So not expected but very welcome
Is it a birds feather or a withering leaf in an ICM type style photo, intriguing
I really like it, the median line perfectly draws the land from the sky so to speak.
Beautiful colour calms and engages

Well thanks again, oh and the winner is
1st Nigelk for Pond Life
2nd Yorkie for The March winds doth blow it
3rd jRutle forSpring hatchlings

Congrats Nigel, good spotting there. And congrats extended to Yorkie and jrutle for their podia places. Thanks Flan, for the challenge C&C's and the judging exercise, as always much appreciated. As usual with these challenges, always interesting interpretations of the theme.

Told you that was a great shot Nigel! Well done. And congratulations to Yorkie and jrutle too.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
