Sad for us in France!
Never be afraid to talk about your techniques...

Oh dear, only four images! I had anticipated all sorts of possible shots, from stamp collections to jubilee mugs to Royal places, and not even starting to look at the recent coronation. However, thank you to our four stalwart entrants, who have provided one and all some fine food for thought. I'm going to have a winner and three highly commendeds as there are so few entries, so first let's look at the pictures.

noelcmn is treating us to a previous time with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and the thought is a good one!

takuman should be commended for his tenacity anyway. Returning to the scene of the crime, Victoria was more or less amused to see him again, but we'll never know which.

drofmit also treats us, this time plying us with food, a good way to gain attention and weight at the same time. Not sure what is sad for the French - I guess there is quite a bit of scope using French Royalty as the subject?

sueriley never ceases to amaze me with her photography, producing image after image just britling with creativity. Royal Box has a twinlke in its eye with that title, and clearly people all over the country have been out Knitting for the Coronation.

So again, thank you all, and the award of WINNER is this time going to drofmit as we enter with him into the party spirit!
Best regards, John

Thank you, John for the win and congratulations to us stalwarts...
"Not sure what is sad for the French - I guess there is quite a bit of scope using French Royalty as the subject?"
Well, one sad bit is that La France being a republic there is very little Royalty accessible except in the chateaux of the Loire Valley for us here in Centre-Val de Loire [see later comment].... the nearest French Royalty associated Palace is the Logis Royale at Loches and May is probably the worst time to visit it with the exception of July and August which are worsererer.... May is the "Take a holiday" month for the Emptynesters... especially this year with four holiday weekends, it has been chaotic.... June can be tricky, but not as bad as the other three.
I was fortunate to be able to take this thanks to a Coronation themed "get together post-Covid" [France is still taking Covid very seriously and things like the big chateaux require you to book on line for a visit and they are full through until the end of December!!]
Also sad is the fact that, unless you use a VPN... the actual Chaz le Trois Coronation wasn't accessible live.... "Due to copyright you are not allowed to view this where you live!" [Thank you Brexiters!]
I will get a subject up tomorrow, but we are in a bit of a hiatus here today.... my wife is due to go to hospital for three nights for tests because her Parky's meds are seemingly working incorrectly.... she needs a taxi for that... but the hospital are only willing to telephone her on the day!
And our big grass cutter is currently dead and I am awaiting a phone call/sms from them to tell me when they can collect... meanwhile, the grass is now up to my shoulder!! And, now, our landline is dead the love of my life tells me......
Heyho said Roly!!

Thanks for that, things now understood that are beyond our little bubble of information!
Best regards, John
