Finally, some time to do the C&C's.

Well, only five entries, signs of the times. Still they are wonderful, and a privilege to judge these. Some made me envious too!

Johnwnjr Ė A similar entry to your winning shot in the weekly challenges, this one even better imho, and those colors are just fantastic. Just love the way all of those streaks fill the image. There is a connection to holidays, but a distant one.

Davidwoshere- Ah Christmas, and just not the same without some baubles, wonderful colors, and bokeh to boot! And the reflections make the shot! Stunning composition. A connection with holidays, yes, but as with Johnwnjr, a distant one.

Drofmit- very nice work and technique, such an interesting abstract, with a broad range of colors. A connection with holidays- a distant one too.

Perpicador-A bit closer to the theme, as I am of the opinion that we all take photos of birds when on holiday. Well at least I do! Nicely composed, and even nicer Bokeh! Nice that you caught a variety of birds and colors.

Nigelk- the chosen winner, with a fantastic atmosphere to this, and it could be anytime, anywhere My initial thinking is that it was part of a romantic (isnít red the color of romance) candlelight dinner in some exotic location! Wonderful DOF allowing some fine details, and red is almost always a winner.

1st Ė Nigelk
2nd Perspicador

All the rest HMís.

Even harder to judge when there are but a few entries. Well done Nigel and Rodney and thanks go to Noel for squeezing a good crop of images out of us.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
