I read the other day that there is no such thing as a 3-dimensional spiral. Instead, such an object must be called a helix. So here is Frank Gehry's famous Spiral Staircase, which is really Frank Gehry's famous Helical Staircase, seen from ground level as protrudes into the garden area behind the Ontario Gallery of Art in Toronto.
