Standing the test of time

This is the step pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara, just south of Cairo. It was built 4,600 years ago and was the first pyramid. In fact it would appear to be the first large building in stone by humans. Restored from a negative I shot whilst backpacking around Egypt in 1996. Kinder times then. Shot on a Pentax P30t.
