This photo taken at the Durham Light Infantry reunion in Sept 2004 was the start of my connection with the DLI/LI/Rifles. I was invited to his 90th birthday party and supplied an image for their Christmas card. He died on Christmas eve of that year. His was the first funeral I covered.
I have had privileged access to the formation day, the first passing out parade and several freedom parades of the rifles. In the thirteen years I have amassed 18,000 related images of Durham military history,
