Rear Gears

by GlynM

A close up shot of the rear gears on my road bike which I originally built in the early 1980s. This bike does not get used very much now as I find my mountain bike more versatile for our local cycle paths and tracks.

I have shot this subject before but I recently upgraded the gears on this bike to help with a particularly steep local hill so this is a new take shot for the competition.

Once again I have resorted to focus stacking to get a good close-up depth of field. So this is a nine image stack shot in our kitchen, while my wife was out at a meeting , all using:

Pentax K-1 with a D-FA50mm Macro.
1sec, F16, ISO200 and -2.0 exposure compensation.

Shot raw then processed in LR6. The focus stack was assembled in Helicon Focus 6 and the result was cropped and resized in PSE14.
