Fighting or Copulating?

Bees from different nests will fight each other if resources are scarce, say the experts, and this image may or may not be about a fight. I followed two bees who were banging into each other in front of me, then they both flew to the sidewalk behind me, and really got after it. Alternately, what I captured was bee copulation. Anybody care to comment?
