Hover Fly on Ivy
by GlynM
Lets see if I can start off this competition.
I think this is some sort of hover fly. It was one of a number of flies, bees, wasps and even a hornet that I found feasting on the flowers of Ivy growing up an oak tree in the corner of the garden of our previous house.
It was shot raw in September 2018, in early morning sunshine, using a K-1 and my DA 55-300 which provided some safe distance. It was processed in LR6 then fairly heavily cropped and resized in PSE14.
