Red Squirrel

The slaughter on the roads ensures this Squirrel is virtually wiped out in the southern parts of the British mainland. Timid and endangered, they can still be seen in parts of Scotland. This is on the edge of the Glenmore Forest, near the Visitor Centre in the Cairngorms National Park.
