Graceful legend

One of the first shots I took after ending my 24-year photographic hiatus in 2008. This was a flypast during the Goodwood Revival Meeting and I was in the wrong part of the circuit to obtain a conventionally lit image of the Battle of Britain Memorial trio. Out of idle curiosity, I focused on the Lancaster and shot it directly against the sun (with K200D and Tamron 18-250). I'm not sure the result has any technical merit, but I quite liked it.
