The Eye

This is an 'abstract macro', intentionally shot at F2.8 to give virtually no depth of field and make the insect and background melt into an abstract mix of colours and shapes. I hope it qualifies for the theme of this week's competition on two counts:

1. The fly is resting on a buttercup that is giving the bright yellow glow to the lower half

2. The subject is a 'Yellow Dung Fly'
