Grapefruit moon

Clutching at straws a bit, I know, but it's a natural phenomenon that occurs at night. Moon pictured last November above Abu Dhabi in the UAE. I believe the effect can be caused by atmospheric pollution, which deflects weaker colour waves and allows only stronger reds and oranges to get through, or else by dust particles in the air. In this instance, then, that would be sand. Lens: Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3.
