No summit

Every 2 years I am leading 40 kids on Germanies highest Mountain. In 2010, I made this self portrait 400 m below the summit (was just putting my camera on the tripod for a group photo). Conditions were really bad and 5 min later I had to tell the group that we have to make the remaining 400m with a cable car (as the very steep and rocky last section was completely ice covered).
My face shows the exhaustion due to the frst part of the hike and the sadness to soon tell the group the bitter truth....
I think they even more made an important experience in nature - you cant reset or cheat it....
This year we try it again - my 15 year old son will join me (he made the trip first time when he was 11 - he definately has my mountain gene )
The origianl phot was a bit boring so I gave him some adventurous patina
