Traditional Chinese Medical Acupuncture is part of a 3000 year old system of diagnosis and treatment of the body’s internal energy or qi (chi). In TCM, pain and dysfunction are understood to arise when qi is undernourished or stuck. Acupuncture releases the body’s stuck energy and enables the internal organs to function more efficiently, thus nourishing qi. A person with a decent amount of unstuck qi at their disposal is energetic, clear minded and emotionally and physically resilient.

In this photograph a burning incence is placed on the needle, and allows for a warm and relaxing sensation to be added to the procedure.

It is truly incredible how such a light object can change the mood, and moral state of the person.
