CC-150T Polaris

One of the themes of this years Royal International Air Tattoo was a centenary celebration of the establishment of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The Canadians sent a good variety of aircraft including this
conversion of an Airbus A310-300 airliner which used to be operated by the Canadian airline Wardair.

The fleet consists of five aircraft including this one which is one of only two converted to possible use as an aerial tanker in addition to its other roles as a cargo transporter, passenger conversion or VIP transport.

When used as a tanker it can carry enough fuel to get four CF188 Hornet fighters across the Atlantic to Europe.

This aircraft is operated by 437 Squadron out of Trenton, Ontario.

The Squadron Motto ..."Omnia Passim" translates as 'Anything, Anywhere'.
