Birling Gap

by Peter Elgar

I saw Birling Gap in so many photo mags I had to organise a trip there-so went to Eastbourne Youth Hostel with family and found it! Well, I had to try B/W film - I had some Kodak chromogenic loaded and used that in my trusty ME Super; I used the 28mm f2.8 Pentax-M lens with a Cokin Grad Gray filter, stopped down to f22 - the definition was not good as I had reached the point of diffraction! Printing was a bind as the orange mask of the film was so strong-should have used the Ilford! I did a 20x15"print for the Club and it got an award! The judge came with a white stick!
