Astrological Clock

Replica of one of the world's oldest working clock in Wells Cathedral. The original was removed and is housed in the Science Museum of London.

When viewed enlarged, the centre dail measures the moon phase, the pointer is pointing to number 2, indicating the 2nd day of the new moon and as the dail turns the hole shows a visual of what the moon will look like.

Now to tell the time, at the top of the outer dial is 12 noon and at the bottom is 12 midnight, thus making the face a 24 hour clock. The time the clock is showing is 6:12pm.
