Amur Leopard

by PRYorkshire

I visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park regularly and one of the most difficult animals to photograph is the Amur Leopards, they are frequently hiding in the grass of their enclosure and very rarely show themselves. However on this February day the leopard was sitting high up on top of his platform enjoying the winter sun. From a viewing platform I was able to get this shot with the K3iii and the 55-300 lens, using f5.6 to throw the background out of focus but keep the wooden structure in focus to frame the leopard. A rare shot of which I am particularly proud.
