A Jewellery Store That Time Forgot
by kerrowdown
It's the oldest jewellers business in Inverness, in 1902, Isaac Finkelstein opened his shop here in The Victorian Market.
He was a leading light of Inverness’s small but vibrant Jewish community until his death in 1963, at first he sold his jewellery and watches on the station concourse after arriving in the city from Glasgow. Isaac Finkelstein sold the Railway Watch & Clock Company when he retired, but the original interior and beautifully decorated glass facade have been proudly preserved.
