Did you use multi-segment or centre weighted metering as the exif data isn't showing? I only ask because of the bright highlights in the background.
Gear Not enough!!

A fine effort, looks like you've got the lighting, focus and DOF on the flowers sorted on this, well taken.

Hi Jim I'll get back to you with the info, I'll have to look back at the original photo thanks for your interest. Cheers Trixie

Hi Jim, I used Aperture priority, 200 speed ISO, and I had the white balance set at cloudy, and I used centre weight. I think the bright lights was a shaft of sun just coming through the trees for a few moments. I have only cropped this photo and just slightly adjusted the colour balance in paintshop pro. Thanks for asking and your lovely comments Cheers Trixie
Glad you like it. xxx:
That's very lovely again Trixie, i like the light on the flowers
Thank you Maria, and I loved your Stags Horn photo, I have used this plant in Homeopathy, its useful and beautiful, Cheers Trixie
I’m OK about DOF quality. But I wonder how is it necessary for your pic. I think rose blossoming foreground makes up the main interest of your pic. Why do not isolate it further with narrower aperture then ? I’d opt for f8, even f10
cheers,
