Good viewed large the hills have a sort of blue cast to them looks pretty isolated cheers Trixie

Nice composition and colours. I like the contrast of the vivid colours in the foreground and the pastel colours in the background.

I went to Sille a few years ago and it does have a very haunted atmosphere. I think you are getting that here,Nezih. It's a bit sad and neglected, very poignant!

Andrew, you hit the bull's eye. It had been a kind of holy land once upon a time and there are other remnants as well. I'm sure you'll find it very interesting when you come over here.
David, as you point out it used to be neglected, but not any more. The Konya Municipality has already started cleaning around, restoring some buildings and the main church. I think this one will also be looked after.

Thanks Nezih. I feel much better now! I felt it deserved preservation and am pleased that others agree. Konya was the ancient Iconium, where St.Paul stayed and established an early church. The Mevlana complex is a fine set of restored buildings too, as are several Seljuk mosques and schools. The museum has some good Roman sculpture too.It is good that now it is one of Turkey's most prosperous and fastest growing cities that the municipality is preserving it's history.
