yeah us too 3 weeks till we are there and a month over there comp came to soon as all the other photo's i have are on different systems.

Well, Thursday came and went. Even went into London but didn't see much evidence of strikers doing their stuff. Lots of police though, so didn't risk pointing a camera at anything in case I got arrested for being a terrorist.

Ce que j'ai vu représente très bien la France sauf les cuisses de grenouille, désolé je sais que c'est notre surnom mais nous n'en mangeons pas beaucoup, me semble-t-il.

Bonjour Benôit,
On mange beaucoup de cuisses de grenouille dans le département de la Vienne. Pas moi, vous comprenez, mais les français, dans des restaurants. Je pense que c'est different dans chaque département.

I said the photos in the competition gallery represent France well except the frog legs, I know the English call the French "the frogs" but I don't think a lot of French people actually have frog legs for lunch or dinner. Not in Normandy, at least.

Thank you. It's odd, but probably quite a few British people do think that the Freanch eat frog's legs. If they don't, I wonder where it came from.
Things get passed on, but of course few of us actually check up on these things to see if they are, or even were, accurate.
To be honest, not many people call the French "frogs" either.

We're just having a laugh, John, as the theme is France. We don't talk in French all the time, as you've probably noticed.
Anyway, I'll translate my reply......
