Solenoid identifying

If it has never been changed then you will have the suspect green solenoid. However there is no certainty that it will fail, some people have no trouble but others like myself have had them start sticking, resulting in dark photos.
I bought my K70 in Nov 2018 and it started to show signs of solenoid problems in Oct 2021 and finally becoming so bad as to make the camera unusable in Dec 2021.
The good news is the defective solenoid can be replaced, either by someone like John Pye or if you are careful with a fine soldering iron by yourself.

Thanks for your reply. Fingers crossed all seems well so far. Need to replace my K1, hopefully I can source a K1ii (used).
