please help!!! the auto/man switch on my lens is stuck

I have a great Pentax MF lens 24 mm 3,5 from the 60s and it worked perfectly until today. the auto/man switch is stuck!!!

I presume it is a Takumar screw thread lens of some type - if so, it's worth knowing that the auto/man on Super-Multi-Coated and SMC versions will be inoperable unless mounted on the correct cameras. You can identify these lenses by the extra lever on the lens mount, which mates to the Spotmatic F to offer open aperture metering.

tried it on a camera and it worked! had no idea because i was able to turn on/off without camera before. but its not broken i guess.
