Does Flickr sharpen uploaded pictures?

Having been a loyal Flickr user for years, I so hated their new interface a year or so ago I jumped ship to Ipernity. Smaller user base, but a much nicer, cleaner, interface and a development team that listens to their users.

"Ipernity"? To my shame, I've never heard of it. But I'll take a look now. I use Flickr as a "cloud" storage thing, where most of my edited pictures go, in case my computer dies. Other than that I'm not very active and never look at others' offerings.
