Great vision to see this in the first place, then beautifully executed - bet it would also look great as one of those Mono shots with a Chrome or Selenium look to it

Lovely image - really like it. Is it worth a crop to take out the top left? As I scroll down the page and remove the extra stem I think it strengthens the picture.

Works just as well. I think it's a question of balancing the various elements - which is why I'd left it in the original. It's nice that it has provoked some debate. I shall have to play with some black and white versions now!

I will of course delete this image that I have taken without permission pending your future lawsuit
but I like the original shot best of all , kind regards Flan

Thank you all very much for your kind comments, appropriations of the image, constructive criticism and encouragement. Curiously, I entered this into a natural world macro competition on Photocrowd and it got absolutely nowhere. C'est la vie.

Slap in the middle of England
to be photographed. This was taken with a K3 and a Macro Takumar (pre-set, 1:1 version) 50mm at f11.
The water is so pure and clear that the droplets make perfect lenses. The image has been inverted to
show the focused scene the right way up. You can clearly make out the conservatory roof about 20 feet distant.
Old glass still rules !
