The Tower

by Fletcher8

I really wanted to get out with the camera in to the Yorkshire Dales this weekend, but the weather decided otherwise. Anyway after a look around the shops in Leeds I thought i would check out the Royal Armouries as i have never been there with a camera. Well just when i was about to leave I found this space which I though was worth a try.

Gareth,
When I glanced at the thumbnail for this one, I thought you'd had an opportunity to go to Pinewood Studios and toured the original set for Kubrik's "2001: A Space Odyssey." It reminded me of the airlock astronaut Bowen had to brave before shutting down the HAL9000 computer. So, my misconception aside, this a marvelously symmetrical visual feast for the eyes. I spent minutes absorbing all the minute detail and wrapping my mind around the physical depth of the place.
Thanks for sharing!

Watching the painter painting...
And all the time, the light is changing...and he keeps painting...
That bit there, it was an accident, but he's so pleased;
It's the best mistake he could make...
