Madeira Laurel Fungus

by swarf

A very strange looking fungus (Laurobasidium lauri) that only infects the Island's native Laurel trees. It's sometimes called the 'Mother of Laurel'. It was quite dark in the forest, so 1/25 sec at ISO 1600; handheld.
