Absolutely outstanding! Action, sharp, and a fabulous bird, closest I got to one of these this summer was 2 miles away as it cruised down Loch Kishorn, about 20 pixels worth.

No it wasn't taken on Mull. It was taken on the loch about 3 miles from the house. I drive past this location at least twice a day and quite often see them.
In fact we get them over the house quite a bit.

Wow. Great shot, and what a phenomenal creature! I'm very jealous of you having these on your doorstep. One day (hopefully soon) I must head up north to see one of these

Sigma 70-300mm. The bottom of the range example. The dealer I always go to only had a used one in stock. I paid £49 for it ans I am very pleased with the results so far.
