A Sneaky Peep in on the HoverFlies's Picnic

Photo Information
I know that at least two of the attendees are drastically out of focus but that's because they haven't quite arrived yet! In reality, I had set a wide aperture with the intention of moving in close to one hoverfly, using as fast shutter speed and available light, rather than flash but as I approached the idea of the party occurred to me and I didn't think quickly enough to reduce the aperture for a greater depth of field. Too late now, the moment has gone!

I don't think it matters that all of the hover flies aren't in focus.

As David says you've captured a moment and shown that insects have the equivalent of a McD's drive through.

Kind regards
