David and Goliath

by GIULIO57

An appealing (IMHO) size-contrast between tree and rock caught my attention. It reminded me of struggle between David and Goliath. Clouds depicted strange shapes onto the ground so splitting dark and light areas. Pentax K20D and Pentax lens 55-300mm. 5 images processed in Photomatix, Fusion-Natural mode. Camera on tripod. Manual exposure.

The lone tree lends to the enormous scale, nice result

This has your 'colour' in different senses.
The different parts add to the overall, but could be taken separately.
Very nice

It's so diificult to gauge the scale of this one. Love it!

Brilliant idea and very well 'seen' to start with. That poor tree looks so tiny.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

This would really come into its own printed poster size - the tree makes you reassess the image, particularly if you view it from top to bottom - so well spotted, composed and processed
