Hello. Here, one of the (I have the impression) unjustly underrated basic DA series, the 18-135 that came with the K-70. What, however, seems always to have to be done with a new Pentax body is to go to P + info and push the default contrast and sharpness settings to the limit. The defaults seem rather softish. I find the 18-270 also very very good. For post-processing I mostly use Aurora HDR and the 'Sleepy forest' preset and, even after that, sharpen up more using Photos (the MacOS basic imaging app). Cheers.

Thanks, mate. Most often, I too have to adjust contrast and sharpness in PP for kit lens products. I have found that if you try to use these less expensive lenses at their sweet spots (as published in lens reviews), they can create some excellent images in favourable circumstances.
