Very nice images indeed. I visited Durham Cathedral just a few weeks ago and a beautiful place it is too. I found it quite dark inside and a challenge to photograph. Looks like you had no such problem though. Congratulations.

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

First thing about this set is how professional they look - a proper photojournalism set. The lighting looks so natural and clear and the variety of shots are very nice

Thanks for taking time to look and the kind comments.

Yes it is dark inside the cathedral but ISO 12800 at f2.8 is my default setting.

This may be adjusted up or down two stops depending on light and movement.

A quick check on LR 5 meta data shows ISO 12800 26K exposures and ISO 6400 19K

Most of these would have been in the cathedral, so I have had a bit of practice over the past 25 years.

John, I'd go as far as to say you are a specialist when it comes to the cathedral and it's events
