I wish that were my kitchen I'm not fond of this house, nor the area it is in...

You can't see the mess around the corner!

There is something draped over the saucepan stand

With only one entry so far, there has been plenty of time to look for defects

There are several somethings draped of the saucepan stand: probably a pair of oven gloves, a towel or two, my cycling gloves and possibly my cycling 'heady'.

Galoot -

Nice to see your art collection. Is that an original Matisse at the top? And a Klee, perhaps? Still, my favourite is "A Cat Catching A Mouse", artist unknown.

Jonathan,

That was the renowned artist, Katie, in her 'Cat & Mouse' period, aged 5½.

Galoot and John-

I'm particularly partial to cat pictures at the moment, my cat have finally expired last month after many years of good and faithful service (including quite a lot of sleeping...) He was never much one for catching mice though - I think he thought that was all a bit below him (or too much effort). I saw him encounter a hedgehog once but he didn't really know what to make of it. And a fox, when he certainly did know what to do - I'd never seen him move so fast in my life (back through the catflap!)

I'm particularly enjoying the competition entries so far - the subject has seemed to inspire more intimate and less typically "photographic" pictures than usual, which I find fascinating.

Sorry to hear about the cat

This was the only part of the house I could expose to the forum, I really could not be bothered moving empty beer cans, TakeAway boxes and dirty laundry from the rest of the house, although that may have made a better image for the competition !!! , must remember to get the dishes out of the bath, summer will be here soon.

I thought that baths were used for storing coal

Whilst on the subject of cellars, I have not seen a photograph of George's wine cellar yet

It's not so much a cellar as a conveyor belt.
