Hi Chris,
I have a pentax Mx and a 50mm standard lens gathering dust. Twist my arm and its yours. I live at Dronfield in the peak district. I keep thinking I should get back into film but I don't think it will ever happen.
Regards
Paul

Hi everyone!
Paul, I haven't been a member long enough to post private messages. But I would very much like to take up on your offer. I am working in Chesterfield next week so can come whenever you like after work. 07943 828251.

Hi Chris,
some bad news I'm afraid. I have searched high and low and can't find the old film camera. I can only think a family member has borrowed it or its been sent to the charity shop with the other junk.
If its any consolation there are load of film cameras on ebay at giveaway prices. There is currently a SP 1000 at £6.99! Since digital has improved people are not giving film cameras house room and there are 100's of bargains to be had if that's what you're after.
regards

Not to worry Paul. I am now the proud owner of an SPF, bought with three prime Takumar lenses (35, 55, and 105) for £15. I will have it serviced at Harrow Technical, then it ought to be sound for another decade or two.
And Cheers, Tim and Carol!

I have a lifelong love of photography and wanted to be a photographer as a kid, but life and some bad career advice got in the way. Film photography stopped being a thing, and when digital came along I sort of lost interest.
I did lots of interesting things instead, but I found the interest in photography wouldn't go away. Plus, I moved off the boat I had been living on for 12 years into a house with a shed that will make an amazing darkroom!
I've recently bought a Practica SLR from a well known auction site, but I will be upgrading. My plan long term is to replace my old outfit based around an SP1000, which I murdered on a road trip round Eastern Europe in 1996. Best camera I ever owned.
