thanks all for your replies.When I set the self timer Chris I get the flashing light but not a beep

This is my first post and it is a cry for help.I have recently purchased the above camera but no way can I get the "beep" to work. All the functions in the menu are ticked but to no avail.I have reset a number of times but still no joy. Help
