misty start

Very pleasing - love the weird shape of the 'dead' tree between the other two.

Great shot. You've achieve good separation from the surrounding "architecture".

dull day at Thirlmere lake

Lovely tonal range, great DoF and a thoughtful composition. I agree with David - many of the best Lakes shots on this site are taken in inclement weather.

Glazegate Lane - Winter morning

Nice lead in with the track - along with frost and subtle light+1

Wet Beach Patterns

Superb sharpness all the way through and a great compo. Did you achieve it by DoF or via focus stacking ? Either way - it really holds my attention.

Totnes Plains - First morning of Winter

Really like this, Phil. What makes it for me are the watery sun (& reflection) together with the line of mooring bouys leading up the river. Cracking shot - you can feel the cold !

Llyn Gwynant

Smashing B&W, love the compo..+1 - says it all !

Three Young Swans

I can see why it is a favourite! The mist, reflection - and a very tranquil scene; beautiful!+1 : magical !

Autumnal Woodland

Really takes your eye into the photo. The greens are so life-like, just as you would expect on an overcast day. Love the way you've managed separation between the foreground trees - not easy in woodland shots !

The Fence

Wonderful - full of atmosphere - timeless.

Glazegate Afterglow

Really eye-catching Phil - the sky is beautiful and the compo is spot-on. Did you use an ND Grad or did you use exposure merging to achieve the end result ?
