Announced at the same time as the new Pentax K-1, the new Pentax FA 15-30mm f/2.8 ultra wide-angle lens and 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 add to the full-frame lens line-up that will take advantage of the 36 megapixel full-frame sensor in the K-1. The new lenses, along with the 24-70mm f/2.8 standard zoom lens, are all weather sealed.
The lenses are all weather-resistant (WR), feature ED elements, with two of them featuring Supersonic Drive Motors (SDM). They all feature HD ("High Definition") coatings to reduce flare and ghosting, as well as a Super Protect (SP) costing to the front lens element to repel water and grease.
