Young Male Sparrow Hawk

You don't often get this close! - It overfilled the frame on the 300mm.
The light was failing hence 1/20 second shutter speed. Hand held - says a lot for Pentax's anti-shake.

Well grabbed! I would be tempted to reduce saturation and brightness of the background colours if possible, but a well poised shot.

Yes the background colour puzzles me too! About 7 or 8 feet behind the hawk is my wife's gardening shed which is a reddish brown colour. Between the shed and the bird is a dogwood bush which has bright red stems and, of course, late in the afternoon the natural light shifts toward the red anyway.
