I have to agree with Flan. I will also have to try it before long! Brilliant title that is perfect for the picture.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Not quite.
The IT could be all sorts of events but I like NOIR films and novels.
The old B&Ws when ladies had high heels and little hats and perhaps veils and wore gloves, and men fedoras and ties and raincoats, and the black Ford V8s police cars came in at the last moment with their sirens full-blast, and newspaper editors had braces and puffed cigars, and reporters lugged Linhof Technikas or even Super Technikas, and had a card tucked into their hatbands, and you saw the revolver and heard the shot and the villain fell clutching his tummy and no more, and there was a night club, and a bar with the barman wiping the bar, and men were called Mac, and all that. And Hammett, and Chandler, and Goodis, and all the others. But I could not change the car in the photo and had no time to glue up a cardboard mockup…
