dull day at Thirlmere lake

the day before the lake was like a mirror with blue sky's how ever when I returned the last day of my weekend break it was dull and over case the only good thing was the dog enjoyed him self swimming .

The Lakes are best in inclement weather, it makes this shot I think, along with the inspired composition.

Lovely tonal range, great DoF and a thoughtful composition. I agree with David - many of the best Lakes shots on this site are taken in inclement weather.
