Nice shot but i think you have over cropped a little

Yes, thank you. The cropping was intentional because the bird was in a hugh sea of blue sky.
I wish I had a doubler for my zoom or a longer zoom lens.
This morning I was photographing snowy egrets. They are really beautiful. I'll post a couple over the next few days.
Pentax Ist DL with Sigma 70-300mm plus SMC 18-55mm. Also use a ZX-50 for the occasional shot where I need a film negative.
