LIKEd. As above. Can you select foreground and try to put it on a black background? Select then open a new adjust. layer with solid color and choose dye at your own liking...It could work and sorry for my comment

Good positive comments, especially davidwozhere's smashing idea. The fact is this was taken in a very fine hotel in the Scottish Highlands in October - in Glen Torridon when my mind was more on the stunning scenery in brilliant sunlight. My wife and I were having coffee and I noticed this on a table in the reception area and just snapped it because I liked the colour. The background was some classy wood panelling. Went on enjoying the coffee and biscuits and didn't give the picture another thought until this week when I found I had to judge the weekly competition.
