Joberg Stock Exchange

by Davidoff

This was shot years ago with my Pentax ME Super, so this picture was scanned from a print. The position of the sun was fortuitous, but I had to squeeze into a small shop front to get the angle. If you look carefully, you'll see a cradle for window cleaners at the bottom front of the building. I went back a week later and it was about halfway up. A job for life I guess. Unfortunately, Joberg became so hazardous for employees after 1989, that the SE moved to Santon, leaving this gleaming monument largely redundant and gathering dust.
