Excellent background choice, so important for shots like this.

Very good shot and a well behaved dog.

May I say two things though

I think it would look much better as a portrait rather than a landscape format. That way you would cut out some of the background and the dogs back so that the dogs head is the main focal point.

There is a white blob on the right hand side, again this would be cut out if done in portrait.

Just my opinions of course.

Boxers are a great breed to photograph, most are so well behaved and Milly looks like shes a proper poser

I agree with you paullucas, the portrait format of the other shot works better than this landscape shot but the image is lit better in this on. I will try and touch the other one up a bit and crop this one to a square format.

Millie is well behaved but she is so noisy her head is never still for long and she always sits the opposite way to what you expect or try to achieve so sometimes its not possible to position the light as required. I have been trying fill in flash but do not have any reflectors to use. Maybe a good excuse to buy some
