The sheer joy of Summer

In Summer the fields around Porth Joke (Polly Joke) in West Pentire Cornwall are seeded with wildflowers. In order to capture the flowers with their delicate veins and hairy stems (you can even see ants crawling along these) back lit in the setting sun, the camera tripod was flat out on the ground and the shutter in burst mode to capture the sun star as the petals moved in the wind.
